vague phonique brechen mit den Grenzen von Darkwave, Postpunk und Synthpop. Das Kollektiv aus Süddeutschland erschafft eine „phonische Welle“ aus hypnotischen elektronischen Beats, düsteren Synthesizern und shoegazigen Gitarrenwänden, die mit melancholischer Eleganz verschmelzen.
Im Zentrum steht die charismatische Stimme von Sängerin Nina Gijon. Sie verleiht den dunklen Seiten des Lebens in drei Sprachen – Englisch, Deutsch und Französisch – Ausdruck. Das Ergebnis ist ein tiefgründiger Sound, der sowohl die Tanzflächen der Clubs füllt als auch tief unter die Haut geht.
Dass diese Energie die Szene bewegt, bewies die Band von Beginn an auf den Club- und Festivalbühnen. Inzwischen ist das Trio fest beim renommierten Label Danse Macabre Records (Bruno Kramm) unter Vertrag und teilt sich die Bühnen mit namhaften Szenegrößen.

Chronik & Meilensteine
- Ende 2023: Gründung der Band durch Valerio (Synthesizer), Mathias (Gitarre) und Katharina (Gesang).
- 2024: Erste Live-Konzerte und Festivalauftritte sowie die Veröffentlichung der Debüt-Singles „Prionen“ und „The Commander“.
- 2025 (Besetzungswechsel & Highlights): Sängerin Katharina verlässt die Band aus persönlichen Gründen. Mit Nina Gijon am Mikrofon bekommt vague phonique eine neue, prägende Stimme. Zudem verstärkt Jan die Band fortan als Live-Gitarrist. Es erscheinen die Singles „Chemicals“ und „One Step“. Den Jahresabschluss feiert die Band mit einer fulminanten Show beim European Dark Dance Treffen (MS Connexion Complex, Mannheim).
- Anfang 2026: Veröffentlichung der Single „Stadt unter Wasser“ und das erste physische Release: die „Cut EP“ erscheint als limitierte Edition auf Vinyl.
- 2026 (Live-Erfolge): Hochkarätige Support-Shows für die Szenegrößen und Ikonen Kite und Das Ich sowie die Veröffentlichung des Live-Konzert-Mitschnitts „Glashaus Session“ im Rahmen des World Goth Day Festivals 2026.

vague phonique break the boundaries of darkwave, post-punk, and synth-pop. The collective from southern Germany creates a „phonic wave“ of hypnotic electronic beats, dark synthesizers and shoegaze-like guitar walls that merge with melancholic elegance.
At the heart of the sound is the charismatic voice of singer Nina Gijon, who gives expression to life’s darker sides in three languages: English, German, and French. The result is a profound sound that fills club dancefloors while also resonating deeply on an emotional level.
The band proved from the very beginning that this energy moves the scene, both on club and festival stages. The trio is now firmly signed to the renowned label Danse Macabre Records (founded by Bruno Kramm) and shares the stage with major names in the genre.

- Late 2023: Band founded by Valerio (synthesizers), Mathias (guitar), and Katharina (vocals).

- 2025 (Line-up changes & highlights): Singer Katharina leaves the band for personal reasons. With Nina Gijon on vocals, vague phonique gains a new, defining voice. Additionally, Jan joins the band as a live guitarist. Singles „Chemicals“ and „One Step“ are released. The band will celebrate the end of the year with a spectacular show at the European Dark Dance Meeting (MS Connexion Complex, Mannheim).
- Early 2026: Release of the single “Stadt unter Wasser” and the first physical release: the “Cut EP” is released as a limited edition on vinyl.
- 2026 (Live Successes): High-profile support shows for the scene giants and icons Kite and Das Ich, as well as the release of the live concert recording „Glashaus Session“ as part of the World Goth Day Festival 2026.
